Senior captain Ryan Sanborn was the subject of a feature profile in Friday's issue of the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Sanborn, who has earned national recognition for his skills as a kicker and punter also starts at quarterback and defensive back for the Lancers. Offensively, he has over 600 yards from scrimmage and has accounted for 13 touchdowns to help lead the Lancers to a 3-0 start. On defense, he has made 14 tackles to go along with a sack and an interception.
Sanborn, who also plays baseball and lacrosse for the Lancers, announced last week his verbal commitment to play football next year at Stanford University.
The Lancers take the field again tonight, traveling to Hoover High School for a 6:30pm kickoff.
